Proud to announce that I have my Masters’ Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Colorado-Denver, and have learned so much throughout the process!
During my studies, I’ve created lesson plans, calendars, worksheets, PowerPoints, and so much fun activity ideas for use inside of Daycare to Preschool. Below is a Template of a Calendar alongside the Lesson Plans for the YEAR that can be downloaded and edited for your Classroom! Parents love this so that they know each week’s topic to review at HOME. Also great for Homeschooling! Feel free to DOWNLOAD and tell me what you think! I will upload the DAILY Lesson Plan for these topics SOON😊
I’ve worked professionally with children since 16 years old, working for the YMCA, as the Babysitter, and teaching youth dance classes. Joined the military at 17 years old, and got into Patient Administration, where I received my Bachelors’ in Health Administration. I stayed in the medical field for a while until my last medical job, at John B. Amos Cancer Hospital, as their Referral Specialist. 2019, is where I switched careers, it was suggested to try substitute teaching, since my social media was doing well, and I wanted to make more time for entrepreneurship. *** FYI- I’m back in the medical field as an Independent Insurance Billing/Credentialing Specialist, assisting Health Providers to efficiently work with their patients’ health insurance for treatment/services. (Different Blog for that SOON)
Did Substitute Teaching for over 3 years, open to help teachers with all grades, but started to notice my niche/personality meshed well with the younger kids. Therefore, I decided I wanted to become an official teacher, and found out I had to go back to school, so while studying for my Masters, I applied for a Preschool teacher position, was accepted, and I was signing on to have my own Preschool Classroom in 2021! While teaching, I officially became credentialed as an Early Childhood Educator, and a Director, while also learning how to abide by regulations for government grants, and inspection.
I’ve always had this saying to myself, ” I’d rather work with children than immature adults any day”. lol No shade, but that’s how I felt at times in the Corporate world, but now that I’ve found another avenue of working with kids, I feel it has brought a more softer side to me to acknowledge, since I don’t have kids myself, and remember how God blesses those who serves their community, especially children and senior citizens.
All in all, just wanted to share this with anyone who may relate or thinking about the Education field, and to dismiss any naysayers that didn’t think I achieved this. lol
I didn’t want to brag or boast about it since I actually graduated in 2022, but there’s plenty of little girls and boys that may need to see this!
Because at the end of the day, they may can insult my body, my looks, and my fashion, but they can never insult my INTELLIGENCE! 🥰
